Education is the process by which people acquire knowledge, skills, tools, abilities, ethics, morals, social norms, beliefs, and styles of learning. Education methods include training, teaching, practice, story telling, direct observation and applied research. Education includes all these aspects and more. Education helps people to develop mentally, intellectually and emotionally. It also improves quality of life.

We live in a world where technology has almost completely taken over our lives. Education in informal learning process is done through games, puzzles, learning can be done by using tools, when there is a group of people working on a problem. When education is in a formative stage, it is commonly called critical or grounding stage, which is when people learn about concepts and basic ideas. The process of formal education is when people are prepared for higher level learning.

Today, the life situation has changed a lot. Education has become the most important part of a person’s life. People prefer formal education to informal education, as it is considered to be a stepping stone to higher education. But today, many people do not have the opportunity to study properly at schools or colleges. They are left with only an informal education, which is not helpful when they are looking for a better job.

Informal education helps in enhancing socialization skills. When you go through education, you get to learn about different cultures and customs. Informal education also helps in improving interpersonal communication and problem solving. It also takes place during leisure time when people can talk about their personal interest with others. It is also beneficial for enhancing self-esteem and confidence. Formal education helps people use constructive skills that can positively influence their career and social life.

Today, a lot of learners rely on informal education. They feel that by participating in it, they can learn more about themselves and about the particular interests of their classmates. They do not feel the need to participate in a group learning process that may involve learning process assessment, discussion, assessment and other typical classroom processes.

The need for online distance education has increased tremendously. Many people have found that it is more beneficial than attending a conventional college or university. Distance education has become a popular choice with a large number of people. As the world moves towards a digital age, distance education has gained ground in many people’s life. This can be attributed to the increasing convenience, affordability and flexibility offered by the internet.
