What Does a City Papper do?

One of the most recognizable sights in a city is the man with the news flowing cape and a big piece of news coming out of his head. We have all seen them, from the colorful ones with the red and black and white stripes, to the boring but still funny ones with the little paper bag affixed to his head. The newspapper is not only a source of humor, but they also bring excitement to your town. They are almost as iconic as the firefighters. So how do you become one?

Well the first step is to actually find the job and make sure that you get your hands on some experience in reporting news and maybe working in a newspaper office. The more you work the better chance you have of landing the position. You will need to be someone who is outgoing and someone who can get a good mood in a very short period of time. You also need to have some common sense because it can be hard to tell when someone is messing up or simply being silly.

Once you find a job as the newspapper, you will be responsible for gathering up all of the local news. You will need to keep up with all of the major publications such as the Enquirer, the Journal News, and the Courier-News. You will be the official reporter on whatever story they want you to cover. You get paid per story, so this can be a very lucrative job in some cities. You will be traveling around, speaking to people, and taking pictures at all times.

Most news reporters will move on to bigger and better jobs once they have started to see the success of their job. For example, if someone is injured in a car crash and they need to be taken to the hospital, the newspapper will call the local hospitals, the local police, and the fire department. They will all answer the same questions about what happened and who called what person. It is pretty much an all round easy job that doesn’t require too much time or effort on your part.

Sometimes a person may need to spend a few hours in a hospital. If they have been in a car accident and are in need of medical attention, the person who called the police or fire department will need to visit the emergency rooms. The newspapper is the one that contacts the hospitals, makes sure the doctors are prepared to treat the person and even arranges transportation if needed. This can be exhausting in a very short amount of time. Therefore, it is best for the person to make sure they have a very good understanding of how the process works before starting.

Of course, being a newspapper isn’t just standing in the news doing reports. A lot of other duties are involved as well. You will need to ensure that all of the equipment is set up in the right area and that all of the necessary permits are in place. You will need to ensure that all of the laws are being followed and that you know how to handle all of the emergencies that may come up throughout the day. It really isn’t that difficult a job, though it does take a certain type of personality to do it well.
